Educating your child
Educating your Child

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
- Henry Ford

---Whether you decide to educate your child in public schools, private schools or even at home, the responsibility of your child's education lies ultimately with you.

---You as the parent are responsible for monitoring his/her progress. This can be done through a number of ways.
--------You can assist, without doing, your child in completing his/her homework.
--------Create lessons or learning modules for your child.

---TIPS TO REMEMBER WHEN EDUCATING YOUR CHILD
--------PERSONALIZE LEARNING. Take whatever interests your child and build lessons and learning on that. Substitute your child's name and his/her interest for the names/interests in the lessons.
-------REMEMBER THAT LEARNING IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. You as the parent set the example. If you perceive learning as dull and boring your child will pick up on that.
------THE MORE YOUR CHILD LEARNS THE MORE THAT YOU LEARN. Learning is a never-ending process. Studies have shown that as adults, we can increase our intelligence through leaning.
-------MAKE LEARNING FUN. Remember you can are limited only by your imagination as to what you can use to help your child learn. Magic, Humor, and Cartoons are great examples of items that can be used to assist you in making learning fun.
