Spiritual Guidance

People who achieve greatness, believe that whatever happens to them, they are responsible for it.

Be there when they need you. Every chance you get, tell them you love them. Take every moment possible to spend time with them. Have something special waiting for them when you see them. If you do these things, you'll make memories that you will never forget because just being around the person you love is a memory that should never be forgotten.
Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is any one in good spirits? Let him sing a hymn.

Too often our recreation time is as frantic, with little continuity. Leisure time should be a place with a great number of splendors.
Here are some suggestions for your time off (long weekends, or just some extra hours of sunlight at the end of the day), make the most of it.

• Plant flowers or a garden together.
• Blow bubbles.
• Take a bus ride to a part of town you seldom visit. Get off and explore.
• Get out the encyclopedia and have your kids and their friends search
• Plan a visit to someone you haven't visited in awhile. Bring flowers.
• Play tag or any other game with your kids.
• Tell stories about when you were a kid.
• Declare one day "absolutely no work day."
• Make a sand castle. Play in the dirt.
• Find a good book and read a little bit aloud to your family each evening.
• Go get an ice cream cone together. Make it a double.
• Sit on the front porch and talk to your neighbors.
